you *DID* give your War Prime enough armies, didn't you, Your Majesty? well, your armies will be fighting region to region, capturing key areas and mapping out a strategy to take the entire planet. Regions are where your people live, work, play, and riot, and when diplomacy fails and its time to take a planet by other means. Highly detailed planets with regional battle model - Planets in AotSS are quite detailed, with their own bio patterns, size, and they are modeled down to the regional (think countries) level.Your home system! Too bad there's only one decent planet there.

Grand level Military Model - You're the Emperor, you don't have time to design every ship and review every transport manifest, right? So get your War Prime to work! Forces are designed with a simple drop down of selecting multiple templates - as long as you have the ships, the Force will be created! Order Invasions with a simple War Plan that takes bombardment, aggression, and force desired into account!Ĭlick, click, boom: Fleets.This kind of stuff happens to you all the time. Ever wished characters talked to you conversationally in Crusader Kings? They will in AotSS!įinally! Characters in a 4X who will give you the time of day! all in the same turn! Characters talk to you as a real person, and treat you like a monarch. You can get sick, go crazy, be happy, sad, learn skills, fall in love, fall out of love, fall back into love, save a planet from a rogue meteor. You are the Emperor – As I said before, you're human.And micromanagement? Well, you can do that if you want. In AotSS, you have a finite of Actions per turn to rule your Empire. In other 4Xs, you are apparently a tireless grey eminence that can do anything, anytime, anywhere.
